Biography
Stan and his wife Cheryl presently farm in the Southeastern part of the North Dakota. Cheryl teaches in Hankinson.
Stan graduated from Wahpeton High School and earned a degree in elementary education form Concordia University in St. Paul, Minnesota. He taught elmentary school in Milwaukee, WI and Mantador, ND before starting to farm. Cheryl and Stan have three children and two grandsons.
Stan was appointed by Gov. Hoeven to serve on the Developmental Disabilities Council and presently is serving on the Protection and Advocacy Committe. For the last three years he has also served on the Human Rights Committee for Red River Human Services in Wahpeton.
Before being elected Chairman of the NDGOP, Stan served as Chairman of the 25th District Republican Party for ten years. He also was Vice Chairman of the North Dakota Republican Party for 5 years, before being elected to the Chairman’s position.
He is a member of the Great Bend First Responders Squad, a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Great Bend, and has served as member of the Brandenburg Township Board of Supervisors for many years.
